Yet another year of St. Georges Day celebrations passed on the 23rd of April 2005 for Harlow Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, and Explorers at Risdens Park. The day was a fun filled for all participants, with many exciting challenges for them to take part in.
The formal side of the day was conducted by DC Judy Guilder and Resident vicar Jenny Ragan, with all sections renewing their promises and receiving their awards. The service was a success despite the rain, as everything came together at the end.
To conclude the event a traditional campfire was held, hotdogs and other snacks were served to all and some groups chose to camp over the night at Risdens, taking the fun one step further.
Thank you to all event co-ordinators and everybody else that was behind the scenes of the St. Georges Event - it wouldn't be possible without you.
