During the past year Beavers and Cubs have been working hard to achieve their Bronze and Silver Chief Scouts Award, which was introduced in the new programme.

11 Beaver Scouts and 9 Cub Scouts from Harlow have achieved the award during the last year and were invited to celebrate their achievement along with other Beavers and Cubs from Essex. On the day 4 Beavers and 3 Cubs were able to attend along with family and friends.

Presentations of an Essex Certificate and a piece of Celebration Cake were made by the National Commissioner for Beaver Scouts – Marylyn Evans and Essex County Commissioner – Barry Cousins.

After the presentations the Beavers & Cubs Scouts were able to ride on the trains, see how steam trains work and visit the museum. An enjoyable day was had by all.
